Teaching has been an essential part of Linda Broscheit's musical career. As an experienced tuba and brass educator, she has dedicated many years to developing young musicians, guiding students of different ages and levels, and helping them discover their musical potential through a combination of technical training, artistic exploration, and personal encouragement.
In Colombia, Linda worked as a tuba and brass instructor for prestigious educational institutions and music programs, including the Fundación Batuta, Colegio Andino Deutsche Schule, and Gimnasio Vermont, among others. Throughout her teaching career, she has worked with numerous students who have continued their musical studies and are now professional musicians themselves. Her teaching approach focuses on building strong fundamentals while inspiring students to become confident, expressive, and independent musicians.
In addition to private and ensemble instruction, Linda has extensive experience in band direction, coordination, and educational leadership. As Band Coordinator at Colegio Andino Deutsche Schule, she led and organized international performance experiences with the school’s youth band, including two trips to Rastede, Germany, where the ensemble received gold medals on both occasions. She also served as director of the school’s beginner band program, introducing young students to ensemble playing and creating a strong foundation for their musical development.
After relocating to the United States, Linda continued expanding her educational work through positions including Adjunct Tuba Teacher at the Miami Arts Charter School, Brass Instructor with the Miami Music Project, and Tuba Teacher and Band Director at Immaculata-La Salle High School. During her time at Immaculata-La Salle, she built a successful program environment in which students, families, and faculty recognized her commitment, leadership, and ability to motivate students to achieve their highest potential both technically and musically.
Linda is also an active clinician and guest educator. In Colombia, she has taught workshops at local and national levels, sharing her expertise with young musicians and brass students. In the United States, she served as a teacher and featured soloist for the Oktoberfest Classes and Recital at Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2025. She is currently continuing her commitment to music education through her upcoming work with The Kids’ Orchestra in New Orleans.
As an educator, Linda believes that every student has unique potential. Her goal is not only to develop strong musicianship and technical skills, but also to inspire curiosity, confidence, discipline, and a lifelong connection with music. Through her experience as a performer, teacher, and mentor, she brings a comprehensive perspective that allows students to grow as musicians and as individuals.
